Who we are
Dialogue by Design is a limited company established
by a group of leading practitioners in the fields of stakeholder
dialogue, public participation and consultation, conflict
resolution and software
design.
We have developed unique tools to transfer our tried
and tested techniques to the Internet.
Our directors Pippa
Hyam and Andrew
Acland are leaders in their fields.
Our team of staff also works with a number of partner organisations
and associates to ensure that together we can offer creative
and innovative solutions to your consultation, engagement
and participation needs.
Our mission
Dialogue by Design’s mission is to help people understand each
other better through effective engagement and participation - especially
around controversial or complex issues such as sustainable development,
social responsibility, human rights, the environment, planning and development.
We believe that the Internet is an exceptional tool for expanding dialogue
around such issues, and we want to see its potential fully realised.
We believe that new technology, well used, can enhance participation
and engagement processes - but never replace the need for
direct contact between people.
