IVCA Essential Communications Conference
Communicating a complex social or environmental agenda is often
quite challenging, even for those of us who do it on a regular
basis. Last month Sarah Alder attended the IVCA Essential Communications
Conference, the third annual event that focussed on the latest
developments in the communication of Corporate Social Responsibility
(CSR), sustainable development and social inclusion.
It was an exciting day filled with new approaches to attitude
change, examples of previous campaigns which have really worked
and also the latest developments in Climate Change Communications.
A showcase of some of the Clarion Award winners also took place,
providing inspiration through the use of film. Lively discussion
and debate took place throughout the day with many people keen
to embrace the new approaches for engagement on key social and
environmental issues within the realms of their own work.
